Osnabrück : With its lively culture, lovely ‘Old Town’ and attractive shops, this old bishop and young university town is truly inspiring. In 1648, the Peace of Westphalia was proclaimed from the steps of the town hall. Today, the mixture of modern buildings such as the Felix Nussbaum Haus Museum and the quaint Old Town alleys and streets in which craft and art galleries sit side by side, all help to create the unique atmosphere of Osnabrück. In summertime, cultural events are hosted outside and in winter, the historic Christmas Market gives the whole city a rather festive and idyllic flair.
